Why It Matters

By participating in BRAs of the Bay, you help raise awareness about breast reconstruction options and patient rights. Many people are unaware that federal law requires most insurance plans to cover breast reconstruction following a mastectomy—even if reconstruction is delayed for years after treatment.

Your involvement helps educate our community, support breast cancer patients, and encourage important conversations about reconstruction and recovery.

Decorate a Bra and Make an Impact

Each year, local businesses, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and individuals transform bras into creative works of art as part of our signature bra decorating contest.

All decorated bras are showcased on our website and social media channels leading up to the event, helping raise awareness throughout the community. Decorators are invited to attend the event and celebrate alongside fellow participants as we reveal this year's contest winners.
