The Best Un-realtor is at Wonders By Women

Before Wonders By Women had a store front, our founder Eowyn was going through a divorce, teaching part time at NWTC and starting Wonders By Women as an online store out of her house.

During this hectic time of her life, Eowyn needed to figure out how selling a house during a divorce and and finding a place to live in Green Bay would work, while also being court ordered to continue as only working part time during the divorce process (it was complicated). How was Eowyn supposed to find a place to live on a part time income.

Eowyn found Brooke, through some public Facebook Posts. Eowyn reached out to her stating “were not selling the house yet, but it will be coming, and I will need to find a place to live. I’m lost and I just need some guidance.”

Eowyn and Brooke met up and became friends during the year that would pass before Eowyn’s marital home was able to be listed and sold. During that time, Brooke volunteered as a Guest Speaker for one of the classes Eowyn taught at NWTC. As Eowyn’s online business grew from a Sole Proprietorship, to an LLC with Jessica McCormic becoming Co Owner, things became more complicated. “Where to we find a business space, that is near enough to where Eowyn will probably end up living. The court decree, for the divorce, was that Eowyn’s kids would have to remain in the Green Bay Public School District. So, where do we find a home and a business.

Brooke came to the rescue. She found the place where Wonders By Women now operates, and Eowyn lives with her daughters. This live above and work below situation became the perfect solution to meeting the divorce court order for school district, helping Eowyn find a place to live and a place for Wonders By Women to operate.
